Bold and Couragous

"I don't need easy, just possible"

Courage is something we all think, and would like to think we have..and its not till we are in desperate situations that we find out whether we do and how much we have. God calls us all to be Bold and Courageous EVEN when we HAVE SOMETHING TO LOSE!
He calls us to have the courage:
  • To be a person of TRUTH not Tolerance

  • To pursue excellence with humility
  1. Proverbs 27:2-
"Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips."
  • To pursue PURITY not virginity...
  1. its not a matter of ,"ill go here, here, and here, but we won't go all the way" its a matter of we will keep ALL our ways pure.
  • To boldly advance God's Kingdom and not your own

  • To worship Jesus on and off the field ONLY for His glory

These things as christians, that we are called to do are NOT easy! and will never be! but again....
"i don't need easy, just possible...."

  1. I love that about pursuing purity rather than virginity. So many young couples who claim to be "saving it" are often pretty much doing just that. Saving IT -nothing else. Virginity is only a part of purity. Purity deals with the heart.
Have you ever read Eric and Leslie Ludy's books?

  2. No I actually have not, what do they concern?? Main topics??

And its something that i see quite frequently, just this idea that its all about being a "virgin" for marriage, but the bible holds us to a MUCH higher standard than just that. We are to not have even a HINT o fsexual immorality (Eph.5:3) and then it again in several places speaks of this sexual immorality that applys here. 1 Corinthians 6:18, Collosians 3;5 and then being fully content in all situations with the Lord alone Hebrews 13:5.

    1. Most of their books are about godly relationships. I thought you might have read their stuff because what you were saying sounds so much like their message. Well, actually their focus is about having an intimate relationship with Jesus. All other relationships stem from that and all good relationships are merely an overflow of God's love.

    2. Hey. I dug out my copy of their book When God Writes Your Love Story (amazing book, by the way) and here's a quote from it that I think pretty much sums it up. Lol. I think you'll see why I thought you'd read their stuff. :)
"Your entire body -everything from your heart to your mind to the skin that holds it all in place- is a treasure. Yet for some reason, our generation of Christians only view purity as a an external thing: as long as we're not having sex, we are supposedly pure." -Eric Ludy
So true... and so sad. And that's just talking about those who actually still VALUE purity. As a student-trainer with my high school football team last year, I have to say that even that is rare, these days.

  3. It is very rare, and its sad because it is something that we are ALL called to do it how we are to go about our relationships, something i always think about is... Be the man you want your daughter to marry..... it helps again in a different way put into perspective the way we are to conduct a Godly relationship.

  4. Exactly. I think about Proverbs 31. A woman of noble character brings her husband good all the days of her life -not just after she marries him. If we all sought to honor our future spouses before we even meet them, I bet the divorce rate in America would drop significantly. God didn't design marriage to be entered with a bunch of baggage from relationships that didn't honor Him.
